This is a rare August 1st, 1955 playbill from the Post-Broadway engagement of the RICHARD RODGERS and OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II musical "THE KING AND I" at the National Theatre in Washington, D.C. (The production opened March 29th, 1951 at the St. James Theatre in New York City and ran for 1246 performances before going on the road.) ..... The production starred PATRICIA MORISON as "Anna Leonowens" and LEONARD GRAVES as "The King" and featured FAIRFAX BURGHER, JEFF HALL, BOB HELD, ALFRED CIBELLI, Jr., HUBERT BLAND, KEN REMO, SUZANNE LAKE, NORMA LARKIN, PATRICK ADIARTE and DORETHEA De ARCO .....
