24 Vintage Dragon Magazines, Essential for the Dungeon & Dragons & AD&D Gamer. All have Brand New 2mm Poly slip covers, and will be carefully Box-shipped from north of Seattle via FREE USPS Priority Mail Region B shipping.A Brief Synopsis of each of the magazines, with my (subjective) grading:
#106, 2/86: NM-. Slight wear to the covers + spine edge, No tears or creases seen. "A Plethora of Paladins: 7 New Alignment Oriented NPC Classes"; "The Laws of Magic: How the AD&D Universe Works--and Why".
#107, 3/86: VG. This would be a NM- except that there is a 1/2" stain on the rear cover that penetrates it (see Photo #). A little lite wear top + bottom of the spine, very slight 1/2 crease center top front cover. DL 11 advanced rules.
#108, 4/86: NM-. Slight bending upwards of the spine, Very Lite cover wear. "Mutant Manual II", 20 more Gamma World game creatures for the post-Holocaust Earth. (ARES).
#109, 5/86: NM-. Slight wear to the spine edge, upper right front cover corner, Upper Left rear cover. "Agent 13 and the Invisible Empire" poster by Jeff Butler, attached and in NM shape. Gencon 19 24 page registration booklet held in Milwaukee WI.
#110, 6/86: VG. A few lite spine creases on front, 1 on back; some edge-wear front cover and top right long side. Slight bend upward top right side. 10th Anniversary Issue. "The House in the Frozen Lands" (Mid-level AD&D).
#111, 7/86: NM. Outstanding shape all-around. "Death of an Arch-Mage" AD&D murder-mystery game module.
#112, 8/86: GD+. There is some sort of scuffing to the ink on the top right side and a bit to the bottom right and left corners.. The upper front top edge ridge has some choppiness. There is a 1 mm tiny tear on the left side near the issue #. "The Ultimate Article Index". Computer Games article. Dragonmirth comic section.
#113, 9/86: Fair to Poor, The STINKER of the BUNCH! (I am grading it as Fair, since it does have all of it's pages and it's Still Quite Usable, but I know that some would grade it as Poor. I almost didn't include it in this listing, but I know that some of you buyers want that continuity of issues). The major issue is the "Cardboard Dragon" feature, "All the Parts you need to make it Fly". The soft cardboard
tri-fold
centerfold has a dragon piece that has been Cut Out (!), and there are a few small stains (consistent with spaghetti sauce) on the tri-fold. Also, the centerfold is NO longer attached to the magazine (at least the Original owner included with the magazine). BUT: that fellow (or his kid, which is what I suspect) glued the centerfold to Page 55 where it showed on the diagram "Apply Glue Here!" BUT: using Super Safe Stamp Lift Fluid (Thanks to The Auction Professor for this) I managed to separate the centerfold from page 55, but I left some liquid-logged bottom quarters on pages 54-57. There are creases on the front cover near the spine near the UPC code. One of the notable articles:"Welcome to Hades", about the Three Glooms. (See Photos 8-10 for #113).
#114, 10/86. VG+. Slight wear near center staple, to the top and bottom ends of the spine, to the top front edge. "The Witch", "from out of the past, a scary NPC updated and redesigned". "The Elven Cavalier".
#115, 11/86, VG+. Top Front Edge has lite choppiness. *Thieves: Picking the Pockets of the Underworld." Section.
#116, 12/86, VG+. Slight ink-wear a few spots front top cover. Maritime Adventures Section. "High Seas in 3-D: a 25mm sailing craft for maritime quests" Soft-cardboard Complete, in Excellent Shape.
#117, 1/87, VG+. Top Front Right Edge, Bottom Edge Rear Cover and Spine wear. "Marvel-phile, Day of the Marauders".
#118, 2/87, VG+. A little rust (?) to the top + middle staples, otherwise NM-. Competition Issue: Archery, joustling, & gladiatorial arenas. The NIBAR's KEEP Game. Soft cardboard game-board Excellent shape.
#119, 3/87, VG+. Ink discoloration/fading on rear cover (ad), a small crease rear cover center staple. Special Section on Druids "those who know mother nature best," "The Uldra, a new character race for AD&D games."
#120, 4/87, VG+. There is "3.50" penciled in on the upper right corner of Page 1, but there is Very Little wear to the cover, a wee bit on the top of the spine. Very Nice shape. Features "Players Handbook ll: The Enraged Glaciers & Ghouls game's first volume! Six Bizarre articles..."
#121, 5/87, Near Mint-. Excellent Shape, a wee bit of wear top of spine crown. A Great soft cardboard Fold-Out to build the Sun-Dragon Castle, "A Fold-Up Project that's not for amateurs: An Oriental Castle!" There's also a "Car Wars Poster" in the centerfold as well!
#122, 6/87, VG+. Some lite creases front cover, a trace of a scratch near the spine. 11 Anniversary Issue. "Gaming the Dark Continent" AD&D game statistics for 12 of the most Dangerous African monsters known.
#123,7/87, NM-, Excellent shape, very slight wear. "Magic and Wizardry in the Mystic College".
#124, 8/87, NM-. Very Slight front cover wear. "Aerial Adventuring". A Lovely Fold-Out Map/Poster of "The Sea of Fallen Stars" (The Inner Sea), Perfect Shape.
#125, 9/87, VG+ Slight upward folding near spine, Lite cover wear. a nick on a few page side ends around the comics section. Special section on Chivalry. Gammaraiders Fold-out poster.
#126, 10/87, VG+. This would be NM- but there is a printing error of ink faded dotting running parallel to the front spine. "A Ghastly Grimoire" (Call of Cthulhu game).
#127, 11/87, VG+, Lite Front Cover Wear, a trace of a scratch front cover. "Call to Arms: The fighter's world, from berserkers to battlefields". Computerized AD&D games from SSI.
