This is a rare advertising handbill (flyer) promoting ticket sales for "Next Season's Hit at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre", the WALTER & JEAN KERR and LEROY ANDERSON musical "GOLDILOCKS" opening October 9th, 1958. (The production would actually open October 11th, 1958 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in New York City and run for 161 performances.) ..... Starring in the musical would be BEN GAZARRA (who withdrew from the production before rehearsals began) and ELAINE STRITCH and the cast included RUSSELL NYPE, PAT STANLEY, NATHANIEL FREY and MARGARET HAMILTON ..... This single page, two-sided handbill measures 6" X 9" inches and includes production credits and a ticket order form on the front and advertisements for Eugene O'Neill's "A TOUCH OF THE POET" (starring Helen Hayes and Kim Stanley) and S. N. Behrman's "THE COLD WIND AND THE WARM" (starring Eli Wallach) on the reverse side ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a light vertical crease, this rare handbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian.
