Description
Espresso Machine Water Level Probe: Replace at least once a year.Your espresso machine needs maintenance about 3 to 4 times a year.
Replacing the water level probe annually is critical. Over time these
probes build up with lime-scale causing the boiler water level to slowly
change. If neglected long enough the probe can "ground out" (from scale)
and never call for water to refill the boiler. Then the real problems start...
Water cooled heating elements need water! Don't let the boiler run dry
from a fouled water level probe. Thanks!
PLEASE NOTE:
This probe may need to be cut and or bent to match the probe removed. Very Important to match the probe removed!
Friendly Tip:
If your steam is too wet, then boiler water level is too high. If steam is too hot or powerful then water level is too low.
Friendly Tip 2:
Boiler pressure should run at 1.0 - 1.2 bar. I prefer 1.1 bar for ideal milk stretching/steaming.
Friendly
Tip 3:
Some machines have two level probes; a safety probe and a water level probe.
Final Tip:
Turn off machine, bleed steam pressure and let cool before servicing.
