This is a rare August 1964 playbill from the Summer Stock engagement of the RICHARD RODGERS and OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II musical "THE SOUND OF MUSIC" at the Westbury Music Fair in Westbury, Long Island, New York. (The Original Broadway production opened November 16th, 1959 at New York's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, moved to the Mark Hellinger Theatre on November 6th, 1962 and ran for 1433 performances.) ..... The musical starred GLORIA De HAVEN as "Maria Rainer", the role originated on Broadway by MARY MARTIN and featured KENNETH HARVEY, LIZABETH PRITCHETT, RITA MORLEY, KATHY DUNN, PHILIP PROCTOR, NAN McFARLAND, MICHAEL GORRIN, GRANT GORDON, ROY MONSELL and DICK O'NEILL .....
