    By all measurements I can take, this appears to be an 8H
    Hendey Collet Spindle Insert.
    My measurements of the OUTSIDE of this sleeve with Dial Caliper:
    -
    Large end of taper -2.03 inches
    (starting AFTER 1/8in relief below flange)
    -Small end of taper -1.787 inches
    -Length of taper 3.5 inches, (starting AFTER 1/8in relief below flange)
    According to Hardinge, 8H collets are used in:
