This is a rare souvenir song book sold in conjunction with the Original Broadway production of the RICHARD RODGERS and LORENZ HART musical comedy "JUMBO" which played the New York Hippodrome in New York City. (The production opened November 16th, 1935 and ran for 233 performances.) ..... The musical starred JIMMY DURANTE and PAUL WHITEMAN and his Orchestra and featured BOB LAWRENCE, A. P. KAYE, TOM LOMAS, FRED SPEAR, POODLES HANNEFORD, ARTHUR SINCLAIR, RAY MILLER, GLORIA GRAFTON, W. J. McCARTHY, DONALD NOVIS, DAVE ADAMS, GEORGE WATTS, HENRY LaMARR, WILLARD DASHIELL, SYBIL ELAINE, DONALD BLACK, PHILLIP WOOD, GENE GREENLAW, WALTER LEWIS, JOHN KUEBLER and "BIG ROSIE" as "Jumbo" ..... Please Note: The song book does not include any of the songs from "JUMBO". All eight of the musical numbers inside the song book were written by JIMMY DURANTE .....
