    This is a rare souvenir program which was sent to Tony Awards voters in consideration of the Broadway revival of the RICHARD RODGERS and OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II musical "THE SOUND OF MUSIC" at the Martin Beck Theatre in New York City. (The Original Broadway production opened November 16th, 1959 at New York's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre and ran for 1433 performances. This revival opened March 12th, 1998 and ran for 533 performances.) ..... The revival of "The Sound of Music" received one Tony nomination for "Best Revival of a Musical", but left the Awards show empty handed
