    This is a rare May 13th, 1899 program (playbill) from the Post-Broadway engagement of the EDMOND ROSTAND classic "CYRANO de BERGERAC" at Chatterton's Opera House in Springfield, Illinois. (The Original Broadway production opened October 3rd, 1898 at the Garden Theatre in New York City and closed November 26th, 1898 for an extended tour. Following the tour, the production returned to New York's Garden Theatre on November 20th, 1899.) ..... The play starred RICHARD MANSFIELD in the title role and featured KATHERINE GREY as "Roxanne".
