I'm currently listing a large number of playbills representing some of the most memorable Broadway performances of the 1950's and 1960's ....... This is a rare April 25th, 1955 playbill from the Original Broadway production of the Pulitzer Prize winning TENNESSEE WILLIAMS play "CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF" which played the Morosco Theatre in New York City. (The production opened March 24th, 1955 and ran for 694 performances.) ..... The play starred BARBARA BEL GEDDES as "Margaret" and BURL IVES as "Big Daddy" and featured MILDRED DUNNOCK, BEN GAZZARA, MAXWELL GLANVILLE, MUSA WILLIAMS, MADELEINE SHERWOOD, PAT HINGLE, PAULINE HAHN, DARRYL RICHARD, NICHOLAS PAUL, JANICE DUNN, FRED STEWART, R. G. ARMSTRONG, EVA VAUGHN SMITH, BROWNIE McGHEE and SONNY TERRY .....
